FHP INVESTIGATING HIT AND RUN

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred yesterday afternoon, according to the FHP, A blue van hit a power pole on West Jackson Street near the intersection with North 48th Avenue around 2:23 pm yesterday. FHP officials said the roadway was blocked due to a power line down in the roadway as they waited for Florida Power and Light to respond to the scene. The roadway has since been reopened.
