FHP ARRESTS DRIVER AFTER HIT-AND-RUN CRASH

A 24-year-old Pensacola man is facing hit-and-run charges after allegedly plowering through a fence and ending up in a retention pond. The crash happened yesterday on Two Sisters Way. The Florida Highway Patrol says they were called to the scene, where the driver had fled. Witnesses identified the driver as 24-year-old Conner Stotts, who has an extensive list of prior arrests. Troopers say another man 66-year-old Ronald Murray initally lied to investigators and claimed to be the driver. He was booked and released on charges of making a false report. Stotts is held on $30-thousand dollars bond at the Escambia County jail.
