FEMA Opens Registration Sites Sunday for Hurricane Isaias Assistance in Escambia County

Escambia County residents affected by Hurricane Isaias can begin registering for federal disaster assistance starting tomorrow. The Federal Emergency Management Agency will operate three registration points throughout the county beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., then expand hours to 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The three locations are Bayview Senior Center (2000 E. Lloyd St., Pensacola), the Escambia County Central Office Complex (3363 W. Park Place, Pensacola), and Cokesbury Church (5725 N. 9th Ave., Pensacola). State Emergency Response Team staff will be on hand at all sites to walk residents through the FEMA Individual Assistance application process.

Escambia County recently received a FEMA Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance related to Hurricane Isaias, opening the door to housing assistance, home repair grants, crisis counseling, disaster unemployment benefits, and legal services. Residents can also register online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 (TTY 1-800-462-7585, available 7 a.m.–10 p.m. daily), or through the FEMA mobile app. For additional details, visit MyEscambia.com or the Escambia County Emergency Management Facebook page.
