FAMU Board Sued Over Presidential Search Process

(Tallahassee, FL) -- The search for Florida A&M's president is now the subject of a lawsuit. Alums and students sued the school's board of trustees and the Florida Board of Governors yesterday. The plaintiffs claim the selection of Marva Johnson as president was predetermined in violation of the state constitution. The Board of Governors is expected to meet tomorrow in Palm Beach County to confirm Johnson's hire. The plaintiffs, though, are asking for an emergency injunction to block the vote.
