Estuary Program to Award Quarter-Million in Grants

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Pensacola and Perdido Bays Estuary Program has opened its 2025-2026 Community Grant Program. They are offering a total of $250,000 to fund projects aimed at restoring and protecting local waters. Grants will range from $10,000 to $75,000, and eligible applicants include local governments and nonstate entities within the Perdido and Pensacola watersheds. The application deadline is July 31, 2025, with projects to be implemented from October 1st through 2026. Priority will be given to "shovel ready" projects that engage and educate the community.
