Escambia Deputies Search For Fake Officer

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man accused of impersonating a deputy and conducting a fake traffic stop. A woman in Century says the man pulled her over January 5th on North Century Boulevard with lights on his dashboard and even showed her a badge. He had her get out of her vehicle and searched her truck for about 15 minutes. Sheriff Chip Simmons says if you're unsure about a traffic stop, call 9-1-1 and drive to a well-lit public place.
