Escambia County Carjacking Arrests

Three men were arrested in Eacambia County following a carjacking at the Jasmine Creek Apartments on Saturday evening. According to the sheriff's office, 23-year-olds Joshua Garnett and Sakauri Louis, along with 21-year-old Keishawn McDaniel, face charges of robbery and aggravated assault. Garnett and Louis are also charged with weapon possession. The incident unfolded when two women, looking at apartments, were approached by the suspects brandishing guns. The women managed to escape to a nearby Cook Out restaurant, where they reported the crime to deputies. Responding to the scene, deputies spotted the suspects fleeing from the stolen vehicle. Two loaded guns were found in the area. The suspects were later apprehended inside an apartment at the complex. Garnett is held on a $185,000 bond, Louis on $270,000, and McDaniel on $110,000.
