A high-speed chase in Escambia County earlier this morning ended with a PIT maneuver and man taken into custody. According to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the US Drug Enforcement Administration was serving a search warrant at a home on Maxwell Street just before 8 am when a suspect left the home in a vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle at Fairfield and T Street. A chase ensued, ending with deputies performing a PIT maneuver. Deputies then chased after the suspect and used a taser to take him into custody. The suspect's name or charges has not yet been released.
