The Escambia Sheriff's office says one person was wounded in a shooting at an abandoned home yesterday afternoon. That was called in at around 3:40 pm on Blount Street. Investigators say around 5 or 6 people were at the home when the shooting happened, however, when deputies arrived, only the victim was there. According to Channel 3, the victim was described as a black male who was found lying in the doorway. The sheriff's office says deputies have frequented the home in the past, mainly for drug and trespassing calls.
