Dunwoody Park getting new ADA-accessible playground this winter

Pensacola's Parks and Recreation Department has finalized designs for a replacement playground at Dunwoody Park, with work expected to wrap up by winter 2026.

The decision comes after public input gathered in early July, when the city hosted a design session ahead of the Fourth of July Kids Bike Parade in the Cordova Park neighborhood. Residents were shown two playground options, both featuring ADA-accessible features, and asked for feedback through a survey.

The project was developed in collaboration with District 4 City Councilman Jared Moore. The city said the new playground will replace the existing equipment at the park.
