Desantis Says Amendment Four Signatures May Have Been Illegally Collected

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Governor Ron DeSantis is accusing those who collected signatures to place Amendment Four on the ballot of acting illegally. Amendment Four asks voters to legalize abortion up until fetal viability and beyond, in some cases. DeSantis said yesterday one group that collected signatures to get the amendment on the ballot submitted dozens of petitions with the names of dead people on them. Some who signed the petition have reported getting visits at their homes from the state's election police unit. DeSantis says those officers are following the law and ensuring anyone who broke the law is held accountable. He says our tolerance in the state of Florida for any type of election-related fraud is zero.
