County to Consider Rezoning Two Molino Properties

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Escambia County Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday on zoning changes for two properties on Highway 29 near Molino Road. The first property includes a shopping center that's currently being remodeled—work that started before the land use was changed. The new owner bought the property in June. The second property nearby includes a food mart and tire store. If approved, both parcels would be rezoned from Rural Community to Mixed-Use Urban, allowing residential, retail, offices, and light industrial development. The hearing is set for 5:45 p.m. during the regular commission meeting Thursday night
