COUNTY READY FOR POTENTIAL IMPACT OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION

Escambia County is ready. That's from Emergency Manager Travis Tompkins as we continue watching a tropical wave in the Atlantic that's expected to develop into a depression by this weekend. The storm is now predicted by both weather models to move into the Gulf, but it's still too early to tell where it could impact. Emergency Manager Travis Tompkins updated the Escambia Board of Commissioners at this mornings Agenda Review session. He says the county will receive a briefing from the National Weather Service this weekend, and they should have a better idea of potential impacts then.
