City of Pensacola Reschedules Selection Committee Meetings for Hospital Campus Demolition Project

The City of Pensacola has rescheduled two selection committee meetings related to the demolition of the former Baptist Hospital campus on the South side.

According to a city announcement, the first meeting—originally planned for September 22—will now be held October 6 at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 222 W. Main St., in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room on the second floor. That session will distribute materials and review guidelines for committee members overseeing the Request for Proposals (RFP 26-053) for a decommissioning and demolition contractor. The meeting is open to the public.

A second selection committee meeting to shortlist firms for interviews or presentations has been moved from October 6 to October 20 at 10 a.m., also at City Hall. That meeting will take place in the Whibbs Conference Room on the first floor.

The project involves demolition work at the South Former Baptist Hospital Campus, which is located in a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) area.
