CHANGES COULD BE COMING TO FLORIDA'S GUN LAWS

After the 2026 legislative session begins in January, the Florida House may consider house Bill 133, a bill to lower the minimum age for purchasing rifles and other long guns, from 21 to 18. On Tuesday, the House Judiciary Committee voted 13-7 in favor of the bill, which would repeal a 2018 law that raised the minimum age to 21.
