111224 Car theft is soaring in the Myrtle Grove community, and neighbors say the crimes started around Halloween. The National Insurance Crime Bureau reports that Florida has one of the highest rates of vehicle thefts, with more than 46,000 stolen in 2023. Escambia deputies confirm almost a dozen active car stolen cases in West Pensacola are being worked on now.
