Cantonment Man Charged After 115 MPH Chase, False Imprisonment

A Cantonment resident faces felony charges following a high-speed pursuit in which he allegedly reached speeds of 115 mph while evading law enforcement, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver is accused of blowing through multiple stop signs during the chase and holding a female passenger against her will. He's been charged with felony fleeing and evasion as well as false imprisonment.

FHP did not immediately release additional details about where the pursuit took place or what prompted the initial traffic stop. The case remains under investigation.
