NAS Pensacola was in lockdown this morning following a bomb threat at the base. Earlier, NewsRadio learned from Sheriff Chip Simmons that a bomb threat was made at the base at 9:35 am, and the Sheriff's Department received a call at 10 am. Naval Security Forces, in coordination with local law enforcement partners, executed pre-planned responses to the threat. No one was injured, and the individual suspected of making the threat is now in custody. The front and back gates were closed but have been reopened. Today marks the fourth anniversary of the deadly terrorist attack at NAS Pensacola on Dec. 6, 2019.
