Beaulah Road Closed Due to Downed Power Line

BEULAH ROAD CLOSED AFTER TRUCK HITS LIVE POWER LINE

Beulah Road south of Interstate 10 is closed in both directions this morning due to a downed power line and a vehicle fire. Escambia County says a transfer truck from the Perdido Landfill hit a live power line after the utility pole snapped this morning. The driver was not hurt. Escambia County Fire Rescue, Florida Highway Patrol, the Sheriff's Office, and Florida Power and Light are on scene working to clear the line. Drivers should use alternate routes and avoid the area.
