West Palm Beach, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The man accused of apparently trying to kill former President Donald Trump is due in court today.
"I think he'll probably face charges of aggravated assault with a fire against a federal law enforcement officer," says Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg. He could face up to 20 years in prison on that charge.
Fifty-eight-year-old Ryan Routh [[ ruth ]] was taken into custody yesterday after authorities say he staked out a position within 500 yards of the former president as he was playing golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The suspect, who officials say was armed at the time, was able to get away and drove off, only to later be pulled over and arrested.
