AMTRAK MARDI GRAS SERVICE TO KICK OFF AUGUST

Tickets are now available for the new Amtrak Mardi Gras Service, a twice-daily intercity train route launching on August 18 between Mobile, Alabama, and New Orleans, Louisiana, along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This marks the return of passenger rail service to the region after nearly 20 years. The service will offer morning and evening departures from both cities, with adult coach fares starting at $15 each way. Discounts are available for children, students, seniors, veterans, military personnel, and groups. The Amtrak Mardi Gras Service will feature Coach and Business Class options, Café service with locally sourced menu items, and amenities such as wide reclining seats, free Wi-Fi, and generous baggage allowances.
