Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Miami-based developer has broken ground on a 41-and-a-half million-dollar affordable housing complex in Warrington aimed at veterans, active-duty military, and low-income households. The Ekos at Warrington development on Dogwood Drive will include 120 apartments across four three-story buildings ranging from one to three bedrooms. Half the units will be reserved for veterans, active-duty service members, and their families with a portion set aside for veterans experiencing homelessness. Non-profit Opening Doors Northwest Florida will partner with developers to provide services to residents. The project is expected to take just over a year to complete.
