Pensacola city leaders say they're caught between political pressure and potential lawsuits over a controversial Christmas drag show. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier wants the December 23rd performance canceled.... Councilmembers, including attorney Allison Patton analyzed the letter. Patton says city attorneys warn of a significant legal risk in breaking the contract for the drag show -- she suggested the city might reconsider if the Attorney General's office would cover litigation costs. A public forum is scheduled Thursday. The show has sold nearly a thousand tickets.

Santa Rosa County is considering installing traffic cameras to monitor speeding in school zones. A public hearing took place today for residents to provide feedback on the proposal. A 2024 study found that most traffic incidents occurred in Gulf Breeze and Milton. Santa Rosa School Superintendent Dr. Karen Barber has proposed placing cameras at all 35 schools in the district. No action was taken in council chambers today.

Electric heaters and blankets may be delivered to Council on Aging of West Florida at 875 Royce Street.
