JUNIOR LEAGUE HOSTING DIAPER GIVEAWAY

The Junior League of Pensacola is helping parents with one of the biggest expenses of having a newborn. They're holding a free diaper bank giveaway on Saturday, December 7th. Parents can stop by 2016 West Garden Street between 1 and 3 p.m. to pick up fifty diapers and wipes. With inflation and rising tariffs driving up costs, the giveaway comes at a perfect time for families. The average parent spends over 900 dollars on disposable diapers in the first year alone. No purchase necessary -- it's completely free.

Penascola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- HCA Florida West Hospital is stepping up to help fight hunger in the community. The hospital collected 475 pounds of food from employees this week and donated it to Manna Foodbank. The donation is part of the hospital system's fifth annual drive to get nutritious meals to families in need across Florida. Hospital staff donated items like milk, fruit, and vegetables to help address food insecurity in the area. More than one in seven Americans don't have reliable access to healthy food, which can lead to serious health problems like diabetes, obesity, and heart disease. The hospital's CEO says the effort reminds people of how important access to nutritious food is year-round.
