Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Pensacola convenience store.

The incident occurred Monday night at the Raceway located at W Street and Fairfield Drive. According to Sheriff Chip Simmons, a man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk before fleeing the area.

No injuries were reported.

Simmons said investigators are working to identify the suspect using multiple resources, including the agency's Real-Time Crime Center. The center monitors a network of public cameras across Escambia County and can assist in tracking suspects in real time.

"We obviously are going to use whatever surveillance camera they may have had at the raceway itself and put together as big a piece as we can and see if we can catch the bad guy," Simmons said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 850-433-STOP.
