The United Way of West Florida invites you to a unique celebration that combines the thrill of horse racing with the spirit of giving back. On Saturday, May 2nd, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, the Sanders Beach Corrine Jones Resource Center will host the annual Glitz & Gallop Gala. This event draws inspiration from the 152nd Kentucky Derby, promising an evening filled with style, excitement, and meaningful impact.

A Night of Elegance and Purpose

The Glitz & Gallop Gala is more than just a party. It is a chance to support hardworking families in our community who face financial challenges despite being employed. These individuals are part of the ALICE group—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. They earn above the federal poverty level but struggle to cover basic needs, often living paycheck to paycheck. This gala raises critical funds to help these neighbors build stronger, more stable lives.

Chief Jennifer M. Frank of the Milton Police Department will serve as the Honorary Chair for the event. Known for her dedication to community safety and family support, Chief Frank brings leadership and passion to this cause. Her involvement highlights the importance of the gala’s mission.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Funds raised at the Glitz & Gallop Gala directly support ALICE families in West Florida. These families often fall through the cracks of traditional assistance programs. By attending or sponsoring the event, you help provide resources such as:

  • Emergency financial aid

  • Job training and education programs

  • Access to affordable childcare

  • Health and wellness services

These supports help families move toward financial stability and improve their quality of life.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Businesses and individuals looking to increase their impact can explore sponsorship options. Sponsorship not only supports a worthy cause but also offers a chance to showcase your brand to a community-focused audience. The United Way provides a detailed sponsorship guide and a webform for easy sign-up. Staff members are available to assist with any questions.

The Glitz & Gallop Gala is a perfect way to enjoy an elegant evening while making a real difference in the lives of local families.
