DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO MEET REGARDING WARRINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL — David Wayne
Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) — The state Department of Education meets this morning to hash out what’ll happen with Warrington Middle School. The meeting will happen at 10 AM. This comes after the Escambia School Board didn’t meet a May 1st deadline to have a contract signed with Charter Schools USA to take over the school as part of its turnaround plan. The school board has now approved a contingency plan in case the state tells them they have to shut the school down. The Escambia County School Board will meet later tonight.
