ROTTING HERITAGE OAK AT ALCANIZ / CERVANTES HAS BEEN PERMITTED FOR REMOVAL

Andrew McKay 01/27/20

Located in the back of the parking lot of the old Pot Roast and Pinot building on the southwest corner of Alcaniz and Cervantes is a very large heritage oak tree. Unfortunately, the tree is rotting and cannot be saved. Pensacola City Manager Keith Wilkins tells NewsRadio that the owner of the property did apply for a permit to remove the tree, as is required. The City inspected the tree, agreed that it is rotting and constitutes a safety hazard, and has issued a permit for its removal.
