SANTA ROSA PLANS US 98 BYPASS IN NAVARRE

It's no surprise to those who drive US 98 through Navarre that more than 41,000 cars crowd the only east-west route there. Now, Santa Rosa County is taking it's first step in addressing congestion concerns. Yesterday, they held a public forum at the Tiger Point Community Center showcasing a plan to build a bypass road through Navarre to ease congestion on Highway 98. If the project makes it through all the hurdles, the county says it could be 7 to 10 years before construction even begins.
