Santa Rosa County officials are holding a public hearing to discuss impact fees next week. One commissioner who isn't in favor is District 1's Sam Parker. If the county were to adopt Impact Fees the money would go into transportation infrastructure -- but Parker says the Board of Commissioners has other funding options such as a Local Option Sales Tax increase. He prefers that option as it would be partially funded by tourists. The public hearing on Impact Fees will be held Monday Morning at 8:30 AM. Another hearing on a potential increase in the local option sales tax will be held that afternoon at 1 o'clock.
