Former Alabama High School Coach Indicted on Allegations of Sleeping with Student

Baldwin County, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A former high school softball coach has been indicted by a Baldwin County grand jury on charges of having sex with a student. Investigators say former St. Michael Catholic High School coach Leonard RIzzuto was having a documented sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. The alleged acts took place at an off-campus practice facility and Rizzuto's home in Daphne, and reportedly happened during the 2020-21 school year. Rizzuto was released from his job at the school after the 2021 season. Investigators say they have not learned of any other victims. Rizzuto was arrested and released on 15-thousand dollars bond. He's due in court for an arraignment in December.
