Escambia County To Discuss Beach Access On Perdido Key

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Escambia County commissioners will discuss customary usage of beaches on Perdido Key this week. Last year, Governor DeSantis repealed a 2018 law that allowed beachfront property owners to close off portions of the beach. The new law puts the power of regulating beach access in the hands of local governments. Commissioners will discuss what portions of private property along Perdido Key should be designated for customary use. People on both sides of the issue aren't willing to compromise.
