DeSantis Criticizes Investigation into Hope Florida

(Tallahassee, FL) -- An investigation into the Hope Florida Foundation is a manufactured political operation. That's what Governor Ron DeSantis said yesterday after the Leon County State Attorney's Office announced the investigation. DeSantis' wife, Casey, is connected to Hope Florida. The program is designed to get people off government assistance, but there have been questions about its funding. Pensacola Republican State Rep. Alex Andrade is pushing for the investigation. DeSantis says Andrade has a political agenda to try to smear Hope Florida and people associated with it, including Casey DeSantis. Andrade tells News Service of Florida he's convinced crimes occurred, and those engaged in public corruption should face justice.
