Alabama Group's Crab Island Takeover Leads to Fight, Arrest

Okaloosa County, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- A group from Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama took over Crab Island in Destin this weekend, leaving behind trash, glass bottles in the water, and at least one fight that ended in an arrest. Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden says deputies responded to twenty-five disturbances Saturday night, most tied to the group. Aden says another takeover is already being planned for Father's Day weekend and is warning organizers they could face thousands of dollars in charges if law enforcement and EMS are called out.
