The man charged in the fatal drive-by shooting of a 70-year-old Pensacola woman in June is now also charged with the murder of a 25-year-old man in May 2023. 19-year-old Jaquaris Ethridge was arrested on June 24 for that day's drive-by shooting on Erress Boulevard that ultimately killed 70-year-old Myra Hayes. He's charged with first-degree premeditated murder in that case. Court records show that days later on July 3, Ethridge was officially charged with another killing -- the murder of 25-year-old Tadaris Johnson on the evening of May 20, 2023. The May 2023 drive-by shooting took place duringa large gathering on Paula Avenue in Escambia County, leaving Johnson dead and another man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Ethridge initially faced another murder charge in the June 24 case for the death of his co-defendant Trevion Moton, who died in the jump from the Highway 90 bridge. But court records show that charge was not acted upon by prosecutors.
