Bear will be remembered as a huge force in our area’s economic development, but for friends and family members, he’ll be remembered as a caring man with a huge heart. Almost every good thing in Northwest Florida has been touched by Bear in some way. Bear was the President and CEO of the Lewis Bear company — which is the oldest privately held corporation in the state of Florida. Bear was also a local philanthropist who believed in giving back to the community.
