MAN ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING INTO APARTMENT — David Wayne
Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) — A Pensacola man is facing charges after allegedly firing a gun into an apartment — while his infant child was inside. 21-year-old Jalen Weathers was arrested yesterday, he’s charged with aggravated assault, battery, weapon offenses, and fraud. Deputies say the incident started when Weathers was asked to leave after he allegedly smoked marijuana inside an apartment. An arrest report says Weathers left through a window then fired a gun into the apartment through the window — nobody was hurt but deputies say his infant child was inside at the time. Deputies say Weathers is a convicted felon and also had a warrant for his arrest stemming from an incident where he allegedly stiffed a taxi driver last fall. He’s being held without bond at the Escambia County jail.
