MAN ACCUSED OF PELICANS NEST SHOOTING ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING WOMAN

Pensacola, FL (Pensacola News Journal)– A Pensacola man arrested last Friday for assaulting a woman in December is also facing charges in connection with last summer’s shooting at The Pelicans Nest in downtown Pensacola. According to the PNJ, 28 year-old Michael Lamar Rudolph is charged with attempted homicide, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and firing missiles into a building. Five people were injured in the June 18th shooting and five days later, the Pelicans Nest permanently closed. Rudolph is facing separate charges of robbery and aggravated battery after investigators say he pistol whipped a woman and stole her gun and SUV on December 27th.
