CITY COUNCIL TO LOOK AT LIFTING SKATEBOARDING BAN — David Wayne
As the city of Pensacola gets ready to officially open the new Blake Doyle Skateboarding Park in a few weeks, they’re now considering lifting the ban on skateboarding in the city. The PNJ reports that an ordinance has been proposed to lift the ban on skateboarding in the city — which has been in place since the mid 90’s. The proposal was made by Councilman Casey Jones and is co-sponsored by Mayor DC Reeves. The council is expected to vote on lifting the ban on skateboarding at their next meeting on April 27th.
