PACE WOMAN KILLED IN FOUR VEHICLE CRASH ON US 90 BRIDGE YESTERDAY — Steve Taylor
Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — If you were wondering why all the traffic was backed up yesterday afternoon on the US 90 bridge heading into Pace, it was because of a four-vehicle crash on the bridge that killed a 65-year-old Pace woman and injured four others. The wreck happened around 2 pm. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck failed to stop behind a sedan while traveling east on Highway 90 and struck its rear, which caused a chain reaction. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger of that same vehicle was trauma alerted to Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Drivers of the other three vehicles were treated and released at the scene. One other passenger was taken to West Florida Hospital by ambulance.
