Orange Beach, AL (NewsRadio 92-3) — Last week, a large shark washed ashore nearby in Orange Beach. There’s still no word on what killed the shark, but there is new information about it. The City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources says the 14-foot hammerhead was a female and was pregnant with 40 shark pups when she died. The shark washed ashore last Thursday…shocking many at the beach. Researchers say finding a pregnant female Hammerhead is rare — so they’re collecting a lot of important data.
