INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY AT BOB SIKES FISHING PIER — Steve Taylor
Pensacola Beach, FL (WEAR-TV) — An investigation is underway today at the Bob Sikes Fishing Pier on Pensacola Beach. Deputies were called to the scene around 11:30 am this morning for a vehicle reportedly driving off the fishing pier. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a witness reported that a part of the fishing dock was broken, and it appears that a vehicle went over it. Authorities have located car parts in the area. FHP and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office are currently on the scene, and the sheriff’s office has deployed a boat in the investigation. No further information has been released.
