NINE KIDS HURT IN CHRISTIAN SCHOOL VAN CRASH –Steve Taylor
Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — Nine kids were taken to the hospital after a collision involving a black SUV and a white passenger van from S L Jones Christian Academy on Longleaf Drive at the intersection with La Rosa Street in Escambia County. The SUV was traveling south out of a private driveway of Longleaf Elementary School while the passenger van was traveling west on Longleaf Drive. The driver of the SUV failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and began to turn left, and as a result, the front of the van collided with the left side of the SUV. All injuries were minor and all involved parties were transported to the hospital by EMS. The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
