MILTON, LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY OUTBID FOR OLD MEDICAL HOSPITAL BUILDING
There were just two bids to purchase the former Community Care Center Facility in Milton, and the city of Milton has come up short. The city and Lighthouse Christian Academy had partnered together to bid on the property with the hopes that it would become the home of their college campus and athletic facilities. While the city bid $600,000 for the property, local developer Prashant Patel with Windermere LLC bid $630,000. At this time, it is not known what Patel intends to do with the property. The city of Milton had planned on applying for a $5 million CDBG grant for additional renovations and ultimately leasing the property to Lighthouse.
