MAN CHARGED WITH TRYING TO KIDNAP GIRL AT BUS STOP PLEADS NO CONTEST — Steve Taylor
Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — The man charged with trying to kidnap an 11-year-old girl in May 2021 at an Escambia County bus stop pleaded no contest in court today. Jared Stanga, 32, of Pensacola, was charged with the attempted kidnapping of a child under 13, aggravated assault and battery. In May 2021, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office released a video showing the girl escaping after a man grabbed her at Old Corry Field Road and Perdido Street. In court this morning, he entered a no-contest plea to aggravated assault and battery. He also plead to a lesser charge for the attempted kidnapping charge. Stanga will be sentenced on Feb. 14.
