MAN BREAKS INTO PENSACOLA BIKE SHOP THREE DIFFERENT TIMES — Steve Taylor

Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — A 34-year-old man broke into a Pensacola bike shop and stole a bike on three separate occasions, according to an arrest report. Brian Thomas was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) and charged with burglary, larceny, and damaging property. The incidents happened at Cycle Sports bike shop on North Palafox Street in Pensacola on three different days in March. Thomas is allegedly seen on surveillance video shattering the front glass door with a hammer, then entering and stealing a bike each time. The amount of damages in all three incidents totaled a combined $2,250. According to the arrest report, a woman told police that Thomas committed the burglaries and had been trying to sell the bikes at a homeless camp where he lives. Thomas has an extensive criminal history including drug use, burglary, and theft, and is being held in Escambia County Jail on a $149,500 bond.
