MAN ARRESTED AFTER FALLING THROUGH CEILING AT INFECTIOUS DISEASE CENTER — Steve Taylor

A man is facing three charges after reportedly falling through the ceiling of an infectious disease center in Escambia County yesterday. 41-year-old Joseph McRoberts was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon and charged with burglary – structure damage over $1,000, damaging property, and burglary – tool possession. The incident happened around 11:15 am at a building at Davis Highway and Klinger Street. According to the sheriff’s office, workers heard someone walking in the ceiling, then a man fell through the ceiling to the first floor and ran off. Deputies were able to locate McRoberts in the area nearby. McRoberts, whose address is listed as homeless, is being held in Escambia County Jail on a $55,000 bond.
