FHP SEARCHING FOR DRIVER IN CYCLIST-INVOLVED HIT AND RUN — Steve Taylor
Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — The Florida Highway Patrol says they’re searching for the driver of a truck that hit a cyclist and fled the scene. Troopers say that happened on Massachusetts Avenue at Armenia Drive shortly before noon yesterday. The truck was reportedly turning left at the intersection and struck the 56-year-old cyclist in the leg, knocking him to the ground and causing damage to the bike’s front wheel. The truck was described as an orange tree-trimming company truck. If you have any information, you’re asked to call FHP or Crime Stoppers.
