ESCAMBIA SHERIFF: WOMAN’S NEGLIGENCE LED TO FATAL VICIOUS DOG ATTACK
Escambia Sheriff Chip Simmons says a 35 year-old woman is being charged in connection to the death of a 63 year-old man back in February. Kathleen Taylor is being held on a charge of negligent manslaughter, which assistant state attorney Erin Ambrose says is punishable by up to 15 years in prison. Simmons says Taylor had multiple encounters with Animal Control but didn’t take any action to secure her three pit bulls. The incident happened on February 24th at a property on Norris Avenue. The victim lived in a trailer that Taylor owns. Her next court date will be on May 26th.
