DRIVERS SUSPENDED AFTER RACEWAY BRAWL — Steve Taylor
Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — Two drivers are now suspended after that brawl at the Southern Raceway in Milton last weekend. The Raceway says drivers Ashton Winger and G.R. Smith are both suspended after intentionally ramming each other’s cars on the track, which led to a brawl between members of the drivers’ teams at last weekend’s Southern All-Star races. Following the crashes on the track, Ashton Winger’s father, Gary Winger was accused of hitting Smith with a hammer. He was charged with burglary and aggravated assault. Ashton Winger and Scott Parker were both charged with disorderly conduct.
