BANKS BOND REVOKED — David Wayne
Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) — Former area contractor Matthew Banks is back in jail — records show Banks had his bond revoked on Friday and was booked back into the Escambia County jail. Banks was previously indicted on four charges and had been released on $155-thousand dollars bond. Channel 3 reports he was in court for a hearing Friday, and that’s when the change was made. So far there’s no word on why the bond was revoked. Banks is facing allegations of fraud and destroying evidence. Prosecutors say he stole over $5 million dollars from hundreds of victims by taking money for work that was never completed — and sometimes never even started on their homes.
